I loved this hair when I first got it, but after only two weeks, it became very dry and started shedding a lot. I also wore it while traveling to the Caribbean, and it became extremely puffy and frizzy in the humidity. Unfortunately, I wish I had chosen a different texture.

To help clarify, the texture you purchased is Vietnamese coarse hair. This hair is specifically sourced to mimic natural textured hair, just like the hair on my head. Because it acts just like natural textured hair, it is highly reactive to environmental elements like humidity, which caused it to puff and frizz. We do include these details on our curl chart and product pages prior to purchase so customers know what to expect. Coarse hair also requires specific upkeep. It needs to be co-washed once weekly to retain moisture. When too many styling products are piled onto coarse strands, it creates heavy buildup. This buildup suffocates the hair, causing it to become dry, tangle, and ultimately lead to shedding. We completely understand that this was your first experience with this specific texture. Because coarse hair has a raised, thicker cuticle layer, it naturally absorbs moisture from the air (causing frizz) and requires high maintenance. For a lower-maintenance experience, a silkier or non-coarse texture would work much better for you. Silkier hair has smoother, flatter cuticles that seal out humidity and require far fewer products to stay manageable. I found Kaomi Hair Haven on Tik Tok after obsessively researching “Burmese curly hair” for an upcoming trip. I purchased the Burmese Bloom (3) 20’ bundles (I did cut it) two weeks ago & LOVE IT. I was afraid that it wouldnt match my curl pattern but it’s pretty close. The hair is full, the curls are Lucious, they smelled good before first wash, they’re SOFT. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the hair already.
I got this hair for my first official sew in the18-22inches with the 3 bundle deal and was super skeptical that it wouldn’t match me to the point of writing the owner to swap the hair. I am so happy that did not work out (because of fast shipping) as this has been my birthday hair and installed for a full month so far. The hair comes washed which I LOVE and customer service goes above and beyond in answering questions and explaining what I didn’t know. I’ve washed the hair twice and outside of slight colour bleed my first wash, this hair withstands braids, heat, sweat and low manipulation. The curls bounce back with a wash and diffuser and looks SO good on me. I feel so beautiful with it and recommend this hair with no reservations.
The best hair ever! I love Kaomi. The Burmese bloom is always true to length, the density is full from root to tip and the customer service is excellent. Can’t wait to order more!

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with this hair. The shedding was excessive from the beginning, and it continued to get worse with each wear. The hair was also extremely dry and lacked the softness and moisture I expected. Even after trying to properly maintain and moisturize it, the hair still felt dry and continued to shed heavily. For the price, I expected much better quality. I really wanted to love this hair, but unfortunately, the shedding and dryness made it difficult to enjoy or recommend.

I’m disappointed with the quality of the hair. The Burmese Bloom texture was advertised as “coarse,” but the hair feels overly processed and resembles Barbie doll hair out of the package. Based on the description, I expected a more natural texture consistent with virgin hair. I also washed and deep conditioned the bundles to see if the texture would improve, but the hair still doesn’t feel high quality.
Beautiful, amazing quality hair. I purchased for a sew in and it’s perfect. It matches my texture well enough to wear it in its natural state. I’ll be repurchasing in the future!
AMAZING Hair keeps a curl fast shipping
I’ve had this hair install for almost two months and I have gotten so many compliments on my hair! The bundles are very thick and the curls clump beautifully. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it does have a decent amount of shedding and tangling in the nape are despite using the recommended products. I will definitely be ordering other textures in the future to try!
