Curly Hair Maintenance
For curly and raw textures, co-washing is essential and should be done at least 3 times per week.
Co-Wash Routine
Section Hair Divide hair into 5–6 sections with clips.
Fully Saturate Wet each section completely.
Condition & Detangle Apply conditioner and detangle starting from the ends.
Deep Condition Leave conditioner on for 15–30 minutes.
Rinse: Rinse thoroughly to avoid weighing the bundles down.
Avoid touching curls while drying to prevent frizz.

SHEDDING + NAPE
Shedding
First things first, shedding is natural. Extensions are made of real, raw human hair, and just like natural hair sheds from the scalp, extensions may also experience light shedding over time.
Due to the wefting process, you may encounter a few loose hairs during your initial brush out and first wash. With a consistent haircare routine, you can expect minimal shedding each day.
Important
Avoid running your fingers through bundles while they are dry, as this is rough on hair and leads to shedding.
Installation To Avoid Shedding:
Avoid Piercing the Wefts: Piercing the wefts leads to excessive shedding.
Seal Wefts: Use Weft Sealant before installation for added durability.
Cut Wefts Only When Necessary: To maintain the integrity of the weft, avoid cutting unless absolutely required.
TIPS TO PREVENT SHEDDING
Be Gentle When Detangling: Always start from the ends and work your way up. Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush designed for extensions to gently remove tangles. Ripping through knots is one of the fastest ways to cause shedding.
Wash Smart: Wash your extensions in a downward motion, never bunching or scrubbing them. Stick to sulfate-free shampoos and moisturizing conditioners to keep strands smooth and strong.
Protect the Weft: Avoid cutting your wefts if possible. If your stylist needs to cut for a custom fit, make sure they properly seal with weft sealant to prevent unraveling.
Limit Heat & Chemicals: Raw extensions can be colored and heat-styled, but moderation is key. Always use heat protectant and avoid excessive bleaching to keep strands resilient.
Nighttime Care: Friction while you sleep is a major cause of shedding. Protect your hair with a silk bonnet or sleep on a silk pillowcase to reduce tension and tangles.
Hydration = Strength: Moisturized hair is strong hair. Keep your extensions hydrated with water + conditioner or a light oil on the ends. Dry, brittle hair is more likely to shed.

Protect While You Sleep
Friction is the silent cause of tangles and frizz. Sleeping on cotton and satin can strip moisture, trap heat and create static, while silk can help hair glide smoothly.
Moisturize Between Washes
Smooth hair is hydrated hair. Between wash days, give your strands a light moisture boost using a water + conditioner mist. Focus on your nape, which tend to be drier, and follow up with a few drops of natural oil like argon or jojoba to seal in the shine.
For extensions, this routine helps prevent dryness that can lead to tangling and keeps your bundles soft, supple, and touchable. A few sprays in the morning or before bed can make all the difference.

TIPS
Red Strands
Red strands in virgin hair can naturally appear during the steaming process. These strands are not synthetic, if they were, they would melt into plastic rather than burn to ash. Donors may also have red strands naturally due to UV exposure from sunlight.
Coarse Hair
Burmese Bloom, Lotus and Indian hair are coarse textures. Please do not purchase coarse origins or textures if you do not prefer this natural appearance or upkeep. We do not alter or chemically process the hair to change its coarseness, each origin is kept in its authentic, natural state.
Curly Hair Upkeep
Please note that curls may appear flattened during packaging. This is normal and simply needs activation to reveal their true texture. Upon arrival, wash, condition, clump, and scrunchthe hair to achieve the defined curls shown online.
Straightening Curly Hair
All textures can be straightened and will revert back to their natural curl pattern when washed. During our vendor testing process, this versatility and ability to return to its original state is one of the top qualities we look for in high-quality hair.
Length Check
Hair bundles are measured stretched, not laid flat. To get an accurate length, gently stretch the bundle and measure it from the weft all the way down to the tip of the hair. This ensures you get the true length, especially for curly or wavy textures, which may appear shorter due to shrinkage. Please watch this Measure Technique video for additional assistance.

We do not offer refunds to the original payment method. Unused products may be returned within 5 days of delivery for store credit only. I purchased two bundles of 3c Kinky curly 22 inch hair. I also purchased 4A 20 inch kinky curly lace closure. I made a closure wig. This hair is so full and fluffy, because my head is small, I was able to get away with one bundle with the closure. I use the Luseta Curly hair shampoo and conditioner as stated in the hair care instructions. I find that when I use a little bit of Aunt Jackie's curl la la and a little Miss Jessie's pillow soft curls the curls are more defined and controlled. I have also used a little bit of 50:50 Balanced Hydrating-Calming conditioner from Giovanni with Miss Jessie's, the hair is lighter and airy. I really love this hair and it is the look that I was going for. I do recommend sealing the wefts. I will definitely purchase again.
The hair is so so soft and the curls are juicy! I’ve gotten so many compliments. This is not a “low-maintenance” hair texture, a spray bottle, a tangle tweezer brush and good quality mousse gets the hair together in a few minutes. I only define the curls once a week and then let it get fluffy and messy throughout the week. In my opinion, the hair gets better and more realistic as the week goes on and that’s the best part. This is my first curly install and my 3rd weave ever. Will 100% buy again!
Very soft and very full after i washed it the curls are endless. Maintaining the curls is definitely a sport but for the end results it’s highly worth it. I bleached and dyed the hair twice already and it took to it really really well. The shedding was about as much as you would get for curly hair. It’s 4c hair so you definitely gotta give it some love with the RIGHT products. I highly recommend auntie jackie’s or Mielle curly products or Cream of Nature Honey collection. So…I’m extremely disappointed in my experience with this hair. I originally purchased this hair mainly for a trip I had but I live a pretty busy lifestyle so it’s also convenient to have my hair done most of the time. Less than 24 hours later my skin began to break out into what looked like an allergic reaction or hives. The only other time this happened was when I bought “human hair” from my local beauty supply store. This hair also came with a smell that I wasn’t expecting since I was under the impression that I purchased raw human hair from Kaomi beauty. I’ve had raw bundles installed and I’ve never experienced this before. During my time with the hair I did everything I was supposed to do and still experienced an extreme amount of shedding. I detangled, washed, and detangled again and still experienced a lot of shedding. My final straw was when it began to affect my scalp… during my last 2 weeks with this hair my scalp was extremely irritated and itchy. I washed the hair again and also cleaned my scalp under the hair and dried it properly but it seemed to be worse once the chemicals from the hair interacted with my scalp. 3 days ago, I finally decided to take the hair out and my scalp felt inflamed, itchy, with some redness. I’m especially unhappy about this because my birthday is next week and I had intentions to have this hair in for that day. I’ve been in contact with the seller and asked to send the hair back for a full refund less than a month after having the hair in due to the primary issue ( smell, skin reaction, shedding). She said I could send it back but I would not be eligible for a refund. She offered to send new bundles but I did not want anything else from Kaomi Beauty, aside from my money back. Yesterday I sent her a message regarding my scalp irritation and asking for my money back and I’ve been left on read. I don’t believe this hair is worth the price you are paying for it.

It has now been one full month since the hair has been installed. The shedding and scalp concerns mentioned in your most recent message were not previously brought to our attention, so we were not aware of these additional concerns at the time.

Loved it at first but after 2 weeks it matted horribly. In my opinion for the price it shouldn’t matt or shed this badly. I took it out after 5 weeks. I treated it like it was my own natural hair. Moisturizer, 2 strand twist at night, silk bonnets and nothing helped. A lot of compliments but the experience overall didn’t meet my expectations.
This is the hair before I layered it. The hair is so so full, so soft, and i have experienced minimal shedding. I love this and can’t wait to see it layered or colored next!

The texture was very nice. The shedding is a lot however easy to manage and doesn’t not matte very easily when done with proper care. Just very disappointed about the extent of the shedding, very excessive.

I like the curl pattern-I think what you use as far as crème or gel has a huge effect on the curls but this is premium quality hair. I gave 4 stars because I think this curl pattern is a little looser than real 3C hair.
Super soft hair that keeps moisture well! Just a light warning that the curls do drop quite a bit after washing to a looser texture but are still beautiful! Weft sealer helps with the shedding.
